We are currently looking for fill the position of Sr. Mechanical Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Full charge/Lead mechanical engineer for high volume injection molded plastic cased electronic products

• Internally complex user interface design (high security, graphics display, multiple input devices)

• Development of products from conception to finished manufactured goods

• Complete part model, assembly and drawing creation

• Creation and delivery of all the necessary documentation that insures the supplier has the complete product definition required to manufacture the product

• Work with multiple groups within the organization as well as our global suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives to existing products

• Work directly with our off-shore suppliers/partners to provide the necessary support and guidance during product development, debugging, and pre-production
  
  

Qualifications:

• Use of Solidworks for case design with complex surfacing

• 3D model direct to tool, prototyping with stereolithograpy, machined parts, and disposable tooling

• FEA and DFMA experience

• Piece part design for internal and external parts using appropriate materials and fabrication techniques

• Emphasis on DVT

• Strong documentation skills to provide vendors with clear product definiton and instruction

• Experience interacting with off-shore suppliers

• Demonstrated leadership desire and ability to supervise other MEs as well as drive overall packaging to production
  
  

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years hands on Product design experience
