Lance Nakamura is Vice President of Systems Engineering and Development for ViVOtech. Nakamura brings a 26-year career in the payments industry and will lead the development of NFC point of sale (POS) systems for ViVOtech. Nakamura spent 22 years at VeriFone with leadership roles as Vice President of Hardware Engineering, Vice President of Systems Products Development and Chief Architect.  Nakamura left VeriFone in 2006 to work for two companies that were subsequently acquired by VeriFone: WAY Systems, where he was Chief Technology Officer responsible for (POS) and gateway solutions, and Semtek, where he was Vice President of Product Development responsible for end-to-end encryption technology. Nakamura has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii.
