Scott A. Orr, Vice President of Systems Engineering and Operations

Scott Orr is Vice President of Systems Engineering and Operations for ViVOtech. Scott’s career began at Motorola LMPS designing and developing Public Safety Two Way Radios and mobile phones. In 1990, Scott set up a large R&D group in Penang, Malaysia. In 1995 he moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to join Motorola’s new venture, the Energy Systems Group. In 1999 Scott came to Silicon Valley as GM for Motorola Indala, an RFID and Smartcard company. After a successful turnaround of this company and the opening of new design centers, Scott left Motorola and became engaged in consulting for wireless concerns. Key clients were DARPA, IBM and Apogee. In 2008, Scott joined California Eastern Laboratories, Inc to lead their semiconductor design efforts, and to diversify the company’s technology base. Scott holds a BSEE from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
