Robert Dench has more than 40 years of experience in start-up development in such areas as industrial products and services, high-tech and retail. He has participated in many ventures as a founder, a CEO and/or a member of senior management in his extremely diverse career as entrepreneur and venture capitalist. Mr. Dench also gained valuable financial experience from his long-term associations with Crosspoint Venture Partners, a leading venture capital firm, and Needham & Company, a New York investment banking firm specializing in emerging growth companies; as well as from his term serving as a senior advisor to Mario Gabelli's private leveraged "buy-out" partnership (Gabelli/Rosenthal Partners, LP); and as a director of The Pacific Bank. He has served on numerous boards of directors.

Mr. Dench has a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from San Jose State University and an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University, and is an Executive Fellow at Santa Clara University Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
