Forbes published an interesting post yesterday about the coming tsunami of NFC smartphones and contactless payments. The author, Bruce Upbin mentioned the Apple Golden Touch and how, more often than not, when they release a product or get behind a technology it flourishes. Those of us in the mobile payments and mCommerce space are waiting for the iPhone 5 announcement hoping that it will include NFC technology. Many speculate that it will. But we all know how Apple works, they develop or endorse technologies that not only benefit the general public but also benefit themselves.
