Partners with Mobile Candy Dish to Sweeten Mobile Phone Offering
Consumers Can Buy Movie Tickets, Get Event Information
and More Using A Near Field Communication (NFC) Mobile Phone
SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 27, 2007 – ViVOtech
Inc., a market leader in NFC payment, over the air (OTA) provisioning
and transaction software and readers has partnered with Mobile Candy
Dish, a leader in mobile phone commerce software to provide consumers
a complete end-to-end mobile commerce platform that improves the
mobile experience.
By
combining ViVOwallet OTA and NFC mobile payment software and the
Mobile Candy Dish Blaze suite of mobile services, consumers can
use their mobile phone to get movie information and pay for tickets
using any form of credit, debit or gift card, as well as to redeem
theater tickets electronically without any delays at the venue by
using the ViVOtech contactless readers.

are enabling true customer mobility by extending our technology
to allow mobile phone users to access information and make payments
in the most convenient way possible,” said Michael Mullagh,
CEO, ViVOtech. “By extending the ViVOwallet phone software
to easily complete desirable informed purchases and then completing
payment transactions without interfacing with an operator or requiring
a wait in line at a sales counter, customers will now be able to
securely and conveniently be “on the go.”
As
a result of the partnership, ViVOtech will extend its Over-The-Air
Provisioning Server Software for NFC Mobile Phones with Mobile Candy
Dish’s Blaze -- a fully hosted suite of mobile phone commerce
services. The combined offering will allow mobile phone users to
engage in the following activities through their phone:
- Purchasing
Movie Tickets (sports, concert, and theater tickets will launch
this summer)
- Getting
Event Information (movie show times and trailers, sports scores,
venue seating charts)
- Providing
Financial Management-get account balance, account limit, and electronic
receipts (bill pay and money transfer will launch this summer)
- Finding
Points of Interest (restaurants, nearby merchants, etc.)
- Getting
Directions and Maps
- Allowing
Consumer Customization (changing look and feel of the app, setting
personal preferences, etc.)
Additionally,
consumers will also be able to use their NFC-enabled phone to make
purchases at thousands of retail locations by simply tapping their
cell phone on a payment terminal that uses ViVOtech contactless
NFC readers. Receipts for purchases using the service will be tracked
and recorded using the Mobile Candy Dish Blaze “Money Manager”
application.
