January 14, 2008 — ViVOtech, the leader in Near Field Communication (NFC) and contactless payment systems, today announced that The Paradies Shops, the nation's leading airport concessionaire has selected ViVOtech contactless payment terminals for their over 500 retail stores in over 60 airports and hotels across the U.S. and Canada. Using ViVOtech technology, The Paradies Shops will be able to offer the more than half-billion travelers it serves each year quicker payment options and greater convenience in their travel shopping experience. The new ViVOtech units accept both traditional payments such as magnetic stripe transactions and new contactless and NFC mobile phone payments.
