SECURE RETAIL APPOINTED DISTRIBUTOR FOR VIVOTECH
CONTACTLESS & NFC MOBILE PHONE PAYMENT READERS

12, 2007 - Secure Retail, stockist of market leading payment
solutions, announced today that they have been appointed as a distributor
for the ViVOpayTM range of point of sale contactless payment solutions
from Santa Clara, CA, based ViVOtech—the leading supplier
of contactless and Near Field Communication (NFC) mobile payment
solutions.
The
agreement sees Secure Retail stocking and supplying the retail market
with the ViVOpay 4500 series, without display, and the ViVOpay 5000
series, with display. Both units feature powerful ARM processors
with large application memory to support multiple contactless EMV
payment programs launched by card companies around the world, in
addition to retailer loyalty, prepaid and NFC mobile phone payment
and promotion programs.
According
to the 2007 ABI Research Report, ViVOtech is ranked as the number
one contactless payment reader provider in the world. Over 260,000
ViVOpay readers have been shipped to 23 countries, for use in cinemas,
fast food restaurants (QSR), casual dining establishments, convenience
stores, petrol stations, chemists, grocery stores, buses, taxicabs,
and vending machine locations, enabling a wide variety of businesses
to accept contactless/NFC payments.

readers are to be used in the London roll out of contactless technology.
