Foodservice Goes Hi-Tech: ViVOtech Unveils Latest Product At The 2003 Southwest Foodservice Expo

Santa Clara, Calif. (June 2, 2003) - According to the 5th annual Restaurant Industry Technology Study (by Hospitality Technology), new technology has a direct effect on bottom lines, infensifying the drive for new technology in the restaurant market.

At the Southwest Foodservice Expo, June 22-24, 2003, restauranteurs will have a chance to interact with new technology on the show floor. ViVOtech™, certified by Global Payments, will unveil its breakthrough ViVOpay™ product, which allows customers to use contactless credit cards to complete purchase transactions. Now with a wave of a card or a cell phone, customers can pay for purchases with higher security and greater convenience.

ViVOpay is a RF payment terminal developed for use with existing Point-of-Sale systems and is currently employed in conjunction with MasterCard's Paypass™ program. ViVOpay enables Global Payments and its ISOs to offer merchants an easy and cost-efficient upgrade of their current POS terminals. This upgrade immediately allows restauranteurs to accept payment from contactless (RF) cards using a patent-pending, plug-and-play Dynamic Strip™ technology
